How many units do you need?

Most people call us already worried they will get this wrong. You will not. Two rules, one for job sites and one for events, and past that we size it by hand.

On a construction site, the number is not a guess

The portable sanitation industry works to ANSI/PSAI Z4.3-2025. These are the numbers for units serviced once a week:

A twenty-man crew on a Hart County site is a two-unit job with one hand wash station. Those figures assume servicing once a week, and we can service more often.

For an event, a bar changes everything

ANSI/PSAI Z4.4-2025 sets the numbers for events, and this is a four-hour event:

Look at the 250 row. Four units without a bar, nine with one. That gap is the most expensive mistake people make booking an event. Longer events need more again. Tell us the headcount, the hours and whether there is a bar, and we will give you the number rather than a guess.

Lake Hartwell events

Lake Hartwell is 56,000 acres with 962 miles of shoreline and the Corps of Engineers runs campgrounds and day-use areas around it. The shoreline is beautiful and the permanent facilities are not where your guests are. Shoreline weddings with units out of the photographs, fishing tournament weigh-ins where the crowd arrives at once, campground overflow for reunions in peak season, boat ramp and day-use events with no building at all. On Corps land check the permit before booking. Summer lake weekends book out.

We can service daily if the job needs it

Weekly covers most jobs; high-traffic sites, multi-day festivals and heavy summer use go twice weekly or daily, set up front. Servicing means pumped, cleaned, restocked and deodorised, not glanced at.

ADA accessible units

We carry ADA accessible portable restrooms and keep them in stock rather than treating them as a special order. If your event is open to the public an accessible unit is not optional, and the ground matters as much as the unit: a firm level approach a wheelchair can use.

Where to put it

Our service truck needs clear access, level ground, out of the way but not out of sight, and think about where it will be on the day not where it is convenient to drop.

What we cover around Hartwell

Hartwell is the county seat and biggest town in Hart County and we cover the whole county from it: Bowersville, Royston, Canon, Reed Creek and the communities around the lake, plus the rural parts most suppliers will not drive to.

Also serving

We work across Hart, Elbert, Franklin and Madison counties. Read our guide to porta potty rental in Lavonia, GA, or see the full service area page.
